A Great new review of Deadline Zombies!

I'm pleased to post a part of this Four Star Review of Deadline Zombies by Tony-Paul (http://www.tony-paul.com/) Stop by and visit Tony's site...
January 7, 2011

Moxie Donovan is a fast-talking, hotshot reporter who just can’t keep out of trouble. His nose for news just won’t quit, or perhaps it’s just that sensationalism keeps an eye out for him. This set of stories chronicles Moxie’s brushes with the wild and the supernatural, filled with beautiful dames, villains bent on personal and world domination, and one determined hero who only wants to make his next deadline….
Just like a Saturday morning at the movies! Complete with cliffhanger, a hero who cracks wise, a beautiful and equally verbal heroine, and more weird villains than you can throw popcorn at. Falling back on his cinematic background, Mr. Glenn has peppered his stories with movie facts and fiction, dropping names like a gossip columnist…it’s still all great fun; even the preface “The Reporter Hero” is an entertaining as well as interesting read. If I had to make a comparison, I’d say this volume of novellas could be called “The Front Page meets The Bowery Boys.” Witty, sharp, and above all, great fun!"

And you can get this book at Amazon.com or the publisher Booksforabuck.com!

catching up on the year!

Wow, I realized I’ve been so busy with year I haven’t updated in quite a while, so here it is:

First off I’ve been teaching sword, doing films (The Brain Hunter) and making appearances as renaissance festivals telling stories, but I’ve also been writing my butt of with 5 novels waiting for brick and mortar publishing in the future.
Meanwhile:

My fantasy tales “Hairy Khetar & the Philosophers’ Stones,”(The lead characters of which are pictured to the left) and “Swifthoof and The Rider,” were picked up by Prose Productions.

I’ve place two stories in the same universe at Steampunk Tales:
The Secret of Mabuse Island” which will run in issues 10 and 11 and “Sci-magickal.”

My Battle of the Bulge tale "Toy Box Warrior" was published in WWII Combat magazine.

My novel “A Pilgrim in God’s Valley” will new serialized in Six Gun Western Magazine in early 2011.

I placed three stories with Fantasy World Geographic Magazine:
“Lepreconned”, “Toybox Warrior,” and “Jester’s Touch”

I placed two stories with Pandoras Imagination:

My Dr. Shadows short story “Grave Mistake” was published in Pulp Empire Volume #2.

I’ve place two short stories: Blood Debt: a Dr. Shadows adventure and “The Black Mirror”: a Skullmask fantasy to Pulp Empire for volume 4 and 5 respectively.

My story “Return of the Death’s head, a Skullmask Adventure is going to appear in the February issue of Pulp Spirit magazine.

I’m delighted to announce that I’ve just signed the contract for a pirate fantasy novelette “The Wake of the Red Mistress” with Eternal Press! It is the story of a swashbuckling love triangle between a pirate queen a monk and a sister of Yulina on the same world as my other Eternal Press book The Traveler’s Tale. It’s scheduled for mid-year next year.
A great week and a fab xmas present for me from EP!

A busy couple of months!!!

Its been a crazy busy summer- teaching combat for the New York Film Academy  and writing at a full clip- Now  I have two new collections coming out:
The Devil Wore Greasepaint from Whiskey Creek Press is a collection of horror/fantasy stories that come at the intersection of the Deals with the Devil and the world of theatre/film. And yes, my thirty years in the business of making movies and plays informed the stories...
The other book is Of Swords and Sorcery a collection of swashbuckling adventures (with a little romance) and even a touch of horror! It is out from Gypsyshadow.com.
And don't forget Deadline Zombies: the adventures of Maxi and Moxie out from booksforabuck.com. It is a great/fun collection I'm very proud of.
I also have a Dr. Shadows story in Pulp Empire volume#2, a western in Six Gun Western and a WWII story in WWII Combat magazine!!!
Been busy indeed!!!

When Korvan Orm decided to live among the Pyrrans he was not prepared for the hatred so many felt for his people The Travelers. Nor was he prepared to fall in love but when two thugs try to beat the Gypsy out of him he is saved by the timely arrival of Avorra, Princess of the Realm.

Suddenly he finds himself smitten with feelings he has no right to feel in a society that considers him an outcast. They are feelings that could get him killed.

Can the Traveler find a way to court the intriguing Princess and avoid the black arts of the visiting Prince Gregor or is this Traveler’s Tale going have a lonely ending?
