A Faire Review!

I'm delighted to report that I've had an A One review of my renaissance faire mystery novel "Murder Most Faire" from Post Mortem Press (Available at Amazon.com) by the reviewer at the New York Journal of Books. Head to their site for the full review- but here is a tiny excerpt:

"... Partly based on events in the author’s own life and partly pure fiction, Murder Most Faire is written in a livre noir style reminiscent of Mickey Spillaine’s I, the Jury. It’s an easy read, peppered with literary and cinematic references, and the climax is worthy of an Errol Flynn movie."

A busy couple of months!

It has been over a month since I've had time to post here--a great trip to Montreal and lots of writing have kept me busy.
I've had two book come out from the British publisher Anachron Press for their new pulpline.

The Harker Legacy, a paranormal thriller is the first in a series of short books about Bob Howard -pulp writer and adventurer. The tales are an alternate world take on the 1930s and Howard-'father' of Conan, Kull and Solomon Kane- ranges the globe meeting alternate world versions of such famous people as T. E. Lawrence, Boris Karloff, Winston Churchill, Adolph Hitler and many others. The second tale "Fist of the Fae" is already in the pipeline for a May release.

O'Leary's Luck is a modern hardboiled mystery featuring Jon Shadows - an unconventional hero. Son of a famous world traveling adventurer (yes-Dr. Shadows for those who follow my writings)- gets involved in a deadly puzzle in modern New Orleans. It is also first in what I hope will be a series for Anachron's Pulpline. ( The Secret of Wolf Island, A Jon Shadows novel, can be found at Gypsyshadow.com).

Let me say now, btw--I LOVE the covers on these two- they completely capture the feel of the stories...
